Future Card: BuddyFight!!
- Keywords

"Keywords" are special effects referred to by a single phrase in a red box. They act as a form of shorthand in order to save both space on the cards and time when reading them. It can also be used when a card gains/loses an ability.

[Counter]
- "Counter" is a Keyword that allows you to use a card's ability during either player's turn on any phase.

- "Counterattack" is a Keyword that allows a monster to destroy an attacking monster when an attack fails, and is marked by the text:
[Counterattack] (If this monster is still on the field after an attack, choose a monster that attacked with defense less than or equal to this monster's power, and destroy it.)

[Double Attack]
- "Double Attack" is an aggressive Keyword that allows a monster to restand itself after its first attack. However, its reminder text is currently unknown.

[Move]
- "Move" is a Keyword exclusive to the monsters allowing them to move to an empty monster area at the start of either player's attack phase. However, its reminder text is currently unknown.

[Penetrate]
- "Penetrate" (貫通 Kantsū) is an aggressive Keyword that lets you deal damage when you destroy the opponent's monsters in the center. It is marked by the text:
[Penetrate] (If this card attacks and destroys your opponent's monster in the center, this card deals damage equal to its critical to your opponent.)

[Set]
- "Set" is a keyword exclusive to Spell cards. Unlike other spells, spells with this ability remain on the field after activation. Unlike most cards that remain on the field in this game, there are no limit to the number of Set cards on your field. It is marked by the text:
[Set(This card remains on the field after cast.)

[Soulguard]
- "Soulguard" is a Keyword that allows monsters to avoid leaving the field (destruction, returning to hard, ect.) at the cost of discarding a card from its soul, and is marked by the text:
[Soulguard] (If this card would leave the field, you may discard one soul to prevent it.)
