Vanguard World Championship 2012

Test your skills against the world’s best and aim to become the first World Champion of Cardfight!! Vanguard!

To participate in the World Championship, you need to earn an invitation in the Continental Championships held in North America, Asia-Oceania, or Europe.

The best fighters in the world will gather in Tokyo to decide the World Champion of Cardfight!! Vanguard!

Tournament Information:
These tournament information applies to all Qualifiers and Championship tournaments in the Cardfight!! Vanguard World Championship 2012.

Players participating in the qualifiers will receive an event exclusive World Championship 2012 Deck Case (while supplies last).


Please note that all tournament dates and locations may be subjected to changes.

Eligibility: Only fighters with an invitation from the continental championships may participate.
Deck regulation:
- All English version cards can be used.
- Cards of other languages may not be used.
- Fighters are required to use opaque card sleeves so that the back of cards cannot be easily distinguished.

Asian-Oceanian Championship 2012
Date: 11th November 2012, Sunday
Venue: AFA Singapore @ Singapore EXPO, Peridot Room
Tournament Structure: T.B.A

Eligibility:
- You will need to receive an invitation in the qualifiers to participate.
- The champion of the Korean version will participate.

Deck regulation:
- All English version cards can be used.
- Cards of other languages may not be used.
- Fighters are required to use opaque card sleeves so that the back of cards cannot be easily distinguished.
- Cards from Extra Booster “Banquet of Divas” cannot be used, because it is the international release date.

Prizes:
- Top 3 finishers will receive an invitation to the World Championship.
- Travel fees will be provided.
Notes: Side Events to be announced.

English Cardfight!! Vanguard - Qualifiers (Singapore):
Date: 27th October 2012, Saturday
Registration Time: 11 a.m. - 11.30 a.m.
Venue: Singapore EXPO, Peridot Room
Entry Fee: None

Eligibility:
- All fighters living in Asia-Oceania may participate.
- Fighters living outside of Asia-Oceania may not participate.

Deck regulation:
- All English version cards can be used.
- Cards of other languages may not be used.
- Fighters are required to use opaque card sleeves so that the back of cards cannot be easily distinguished.

Tournament Structure:
- Double elimination followed by top 8 single elimination.
- The number of rounds for the double elimination will depend on the number of participants (fighters to lose 2 matches will be eliminated).
- The top 8 fighters after the final round of double elimination will advance to the top 8 single elimination.
- The standing of fighters with the same record will be decided by opponent’s match win percentage. (i.e. fighters who played opponents with a better record will be ranked higher.)
- 1 game per round.
- 1 round is 20 minutes.

Participation Prize:
Knight of the Steel Blade, Caradoc (PR/0013EN)

Top Prize:
- The top 4 finishers will qualify for the Asian-Oceanian Championship.
- Travel fees will not be provided.
- If a fighter already has an invitation to a Cardfight!! Vanguard Championship or World Grand Prix, the prize will be passed down to the next fighter in the standings.
- Fighters with 1 or less losses will receive an additional Knight of the Steel Blade, Caradoc (PR/0013EN).

Japanese Cardfight!! Vanguard - Qualifiers (Singapore):
Date: 26th October 2012, Friday
Registration Time: 10 a.m. - 10.30 a.m.
Venue: Singapore EXPO, Peridot Room
Entry Fee: None

Eligibility:
- All fighters living in Asia-Oceania may participate.
- Fighters living outside of Asia-Oceania may not participate.

- All Japanese version cards can be used.
- Cards of other languages may not be used.
- Fighters are required to use opaque card sleeves so that the back of cards cannot be easily distinguished.

Tournament Structure:
- Double elimination followed by top 8 single elimination.
- The number of rounds for the double elimination will depend on the number of participants (fighters to lose 2 matches will be eliminated).

- Minors will need confirmation from a parent or guardian to earn the invitation to travel.

Registration Time: 10 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
Entry Fee: None

Eligibility:
- Anyone can participate.
- Malaysian citizens will need to have a visa in Singapore to participate.

Deck Regulations:
- Neo-standard.
- Fighters are required to use opaque card sleeves so that the back of cards cannot be easily distinguished.

Tournament Structure:
- Double elimination followed by top 8 single elimination.
- The number of rounds for the double elimination will depend on the number of participants (fighters to lose 2 matches will be eliminated).
- The top 8 fighters after the final round of double elimination will advance to the top 8 single elimination.
- The standing of fighters with the same record will be decided by opponent’s match win percentage. (i.e. fighters who played opponents with a better record will be ranked higher.)
- 1 game per round.
- 1 round is 25 minutes.

- All fighters participating in 4 or more matches will receive one Sphere Magus (PR/0015EN).
