Fighters Rule
(As of 6th August 2014)
On 6th August 2014, it was announced for the Japanese version of Cardfight!! Vanguard that the following restriction on cards will take place.
**As the situation is different for the Japanese and English versions, there are currently no plans to implement the following restriction for the English version of Cardfight!! Vanguard at all!**
As of 18th August 2014 you are restricted to a max total of 2, using any combination of cards, in the deck.
Nova Grappler:
Note: This includes all cards of the SAME name with different rarities (Such as card reprints as SP or PR or another expansion).
Cards Removed from the Restriction List:
2x Cat Butler
OR
1x Cat Butler
Note: Total of 2 types in a deck, it'll be fine.
3x Cat Butler
OR
4x Cat Butler

(ii) Restriction List for Japanese Cardfight!! Vanguard
Part 1:
- The following cards CANNOT be used as a first vanguard (FV), but can however be used normally otherwise (It can still be placed in the Deck).
- Lizard Soldier, Conroe
Note: This includes all cards of the SAME name with different rarities (Such as card reprints as SP or PR or another expansion).

- The following cards can only be used until 21st September 2012. After that, the following card CANNOT be placed in the deck.

(iii) Banned List for Japanese Cardfight!! Vanguard:
- Not a tournament legal card
- Not a tournament legal card
- Not a tournament legal card
Reason for Adjustment in the Japanese Version:-
'With regards to the over usage of the above mentioned cards and an imbalance in tournament results, the adjustments will be made to refresh the game environment for the fighters.'
Bushiroad's Statement:
