CardFight!! Vanguard:
Terms

FV - First Vanguard

Superior Ride - Performing a ride other than during your Normal Ride Phase by a card ability.

Superior Call - Performing calling a Rear Guard by a card ability.

Superior Guard - Performing a guard during Guard Phase that has a guard power onto of their printed guard power (e.g. superior intercept).

Perfect Guard - Using a 0 Defense Unit's ability (e.g. Wyvern Guard, Barri).

Mega Blast - Mega Blast : Remove 8 cards from Soul and Flip 5 cards from the Damage Zone face down. (e.g. Vortex Dragon).

Bind - When you place a card from your opponent's hand face-up outside of the playing area for a certain period of time and you cannot reveal it (e.g. Maiden of the Evil Eye, Euryale, Dragonic Lawkeeper).

Cross Ride - The action you called when you ride an upgraded unit ontop of the current one (e.g. Dragonic Overlord The End ontop of Dragonic Overlord OR Phantom Blaster Overlord ontop of Phantom Blasted Dragon).

Persona Blast - The term which refers to an effect where an identical copy of the card needs to be discarded from your hand as part of the cost. (e.g. Dragonic Overlord The End, Phantom Blaster Overlord, etc).

Limit Break - This ability is activate if you have four or more damage.

Pioneer/Forerunner - When another unit from the same clan rides this unit, you may call this card to [R].

Ultimate Break - This ability is activate if you have five damage.

Break Ride - The ability will activate when you ride the Vanguard while you have Limit Break.

Especial Counter Blast - The term used when you need to Counter Blast cards with a specific archetype or clan.

Lock - Locked cards are turned face down. Turn them face up at the end of the owner's turn.

Persona Cross Ride - The action you called when you ride an upgraded unit ontop of the current one by skill where you have to discard the unit itself. (e.g. Revenger, Raging Form Dragon).

Crossbreak Ride - The action you called when you ride an upgraded unit ontop of a Break Ride unit (e.g. Eradicator, Vowing Saber Dragon "Reverse").

Especial Soul Blast - The term used when you need to Soul Blast cards with a specific archetype or clan. (e.g. Psychic of Storm, Rigil).

G Persona Blast - A term that describes a G Unit's skill which requires flipping a copy of itself in the Generation Zone face-up as part of the cost. (e.g. Holy Dragon, Saint Blow Dragon).


Card Mechanics & Keyword of Vanguard:
Auto: Automatic abilities are abilities that are played automatically when a certain event happens during the game.

Activate: Activated abilities are abilities that a player with a play timing can pay the cost to get the effect.

Continuous: Continuous abilities are abilities that affect the game as long as the ability is active.

Counter Blast (x): Flip X cards from the Damage Zone face-down.

Soul Charge (x): Send the top X cards of your Deck to your Soul.

Soul Blast (x): Remove X cards from the soul.

Lord: A keyword used in the grade 3 and 4 cards with 11000 Power or more. This keyword's ability is that as long as you have a unit on any circle that doesn't have any clan that matches with the unit with Lord's, then the unit with Lord cannot attack. If you have an unit that does not share the same clan as the unit, that unit cannot attack. (e.g. Dragonic Kaiser Vermillion The Blood)

Sentinel: A Keyword skill on Perfect Guard and Quintet Wall units. Regardless of the card's name, you may only include up to four cards in a deck which have this keyword.

Legion2x000: The main vanguard who performs Legion is called "Legion Leader", and the mate is called "Legion Mate". "Seek Mate" refers to the legion leader's ability to perform Legion. “If this unit has never been in a legion state, and your opponent's vanguard is grade 3 or greater, this unit may return four cards from your drop zone into your deck once (normal unit or trigger unit), search your deck for a card that matches the [card characteristic] (its name appears marked in red), Legion (placing it at the left on the same vanguard circle, and combining both units into a single vanguard), and shuffle your deck. This ability cannot be used for the rest of that game.”.

Stride: A keyword used in G units which allows you to put a face down G unit located in your G zone onto your [V] face up when certain conditions and cost are fulfilled.

Generation Break (x): A keyword which works as a requirement to activate certain abilities based on the number of your face up G Units on [V] and/or G Zone.

1/Turn: A summarized version of the sentence "This ability cannot be used for the rest of that turn".

Counter Charge (x): Flip up to X cards from the Damage Zone face-up.
