Fighters Rule

On 30th January 2018, it was announced for the English version of Cardfight!! Vanguard that the following restriction on cards will take place.
Note: The “Fighter’s Rules” are a set of rules that a fighter must follow when participating in official or sanctioned tournaments. Read these rules carefully before you participate. The “fighter’s rules” may be updated appropriately according to the state of tournaments.

(i) Removed from the Clan Fight Format Deck Construction Restriction List for English Cardfight!! Vanguard
As of 5th February 2018, the following cards CAN be used in all Royal Paladin deck without the need to have a grade 3 card with "Jewel Knight" in their card name.
Royal Paladin:
- Jewel Knight, Swordmy (W.E.F 5th February 2018)
• Royal Paladin: Decks that need not include grade 3 cards with “Jewel Knight” in their card names can include “Jewel Knight, Swordmy” cards.

(ii) Limited List for English Cardfight!! Vanguard
As of 31st July 2017, you are restricted to a max total of 1, using any combination of cards, in the deck.

Gear Chronicle:
- Steam Battler, Ur-Watar (W.E.F 30th January 2017)
- Tick Tock Worker (W.E.F 30th January 2017)
Granblue:
- Seven Seas Helmsman, Nightcrow (W.E.F 31st July 2017)
- Seven Seas Apprentice, Nightrunner (W.E.F 30th January 2017)
- Mick the Ghostie and Family (W.E.F 31st July 2017)

(iii) Restriction List for Japanese Cardfight!! Vanguard
- As of 30th January 2017, the following cards CANNOT be used as a first vanguard (FV), but can however be used normally otherwise (It can still be placed in the Deck).

Royal Paladin:
- Barcgal (W.E.F 1st August 2012)

(iv) Clan Fight Deck Regulations for English Cardfight!! Vanguard
- Fighters’ decks (including G-units) must only contain cards from the same clan, with the exception of:
• Cray Elemental cards.
• Royal Paladin decks may consist of up to 4 copies of “Blaster Dark” (other Shadow Paladin cards are NOT allowed).
• Link Joker: decks may consist of cards with “Яeverse” in its name (including Dragonic Overlord “The Яe-birth”.
• Vanguard & Buddyfight Grand Festival USA 2017 PR Cards; -Up to 4 copies of “Summer Days at Grand Fest, Try 3(PR/0370EN-A)” and “Summer Days at Grand Fest, Try 3(PR/0370EN-B)” in total are allowed
Note: The Clan Fight deck regulations have been fully adopted in Bushiroad Spring Fest and Bushiroad World Championship starting from 2015.

(v) Extreme Fight Deck Regulations for English Cardfight!! Vanguard (W.E.F 30th March 2015)
Note: With effect from March 30, 2015, all major Bushiroad-sanctioned Cardfight!! Vanguard tournaments will be adopting either the Clan Fight or the Extreme Fight deck regulations. Shop owners and tournament organizers has the freedom in choosing which format they would prefer to hold their monthly shop tournaments in, in order to cater to the interests of their players.
- All English edition cards that have been officially distributed can be used.
- Card restrictions are not applied.
- “Epitome of Knowledge, Silvest” can be used.
